PROJECTS

New Generations

New Generations is a focus on numerous activities for the local youth community. RYLA -

RYLA

Aimed at 18 - 30 year olds as a personal development camp held in early December every year. It always has sensational reports coming back from those that are fortunate enough to partake in it. Applications are requested by September.

LORD/LADY SOMERS CAMP

A motivational and life changing camp held during January for teenagers aged 16 - 18 years.

International

The objective of the International Committee is to promote international understanding and goodwill and to assist to improve peoples' lives within communities. Initiatives that we have undertaken include: a joint project with a Rotary Club in India (Aizawl, Mizoram ) which involved bringing a young professional engineeer to Australia for 3 weeks for a Rotary study visit in the area of public health; providing radiographic services in East Timor; a volunteer team to Lautoka, Fiji to participate in a contiuing project to build homes and amenitiy blocks in a village for displaced families and interact initiatives to support the Rotary sponsored group of young people dedicated to service in the community and international understanding.
Currently we are also looking at a project to assist an aboriginal community in the Kimberley,Western Australia.
