President's Message
Aren’t we lucky to have the O’Callaghan’s in our club? They are great contributors on many fronts. John, our resident builder, is indispensable on practical Community projects and Roma never fails to deliver great programs on the Festival Community stage.
Another dimension was added when John chaired and Roma, the executive coach, told us about the Customer Experience Movement at Ford.
Her emphasis on the importance to Ford dealerships of common goals, meaningful engagement of team members, and the engagement of customers is equally relevant for our club. Lots of ideas to put into practice at our Fellowship and Committees night this week!
The Olympics may have drawn to a close, but not our memories of those characters who came to Rio in Eltham. Jim Philips, Ian Toohill and others captured the spirit with some great photos in this Bulletin. Inspired?
Now is the time to start your training for Team Aquabox and the Melbourne Marathon events by joining Jill and the ‘Huffs and Puffs’ on Monday mornings.
President Kevin

Speaker: Roma O’Callaghan presented on the Ford Consumer Experience Movement - what it is and how it is improving the $ bottom line through improving the engagement of all team members. Roma shared with us how improving team culture leads to greater customer loyalty and long term profits and how coaching of leaders helped to further develop essential people management skills.  She left us all with a useful leadership coaching tool - valuable not only in the workplace but in our personal lives. Thanks Roma for presenting such a stimulating and thought-provoking topic.

"Footy Night" - Susan Alberti
We are so pleased to have confirmed an exceptional speaker for our Footy Night (not just for the AFL supporters in the club) .  We anticipate that this will be a very special night for members to bring - partners, friends and business colleagues.  A sheet will be circulating next week to add your name and guests, as there is a limit to the numbers we can have at the Common,  so first in doesn't miss out.

26 Miles is in training for the event. Judy and Jill and the 'Huffs and Puffs' are also in training. We encourage members to participate in this fun fundraising event for Aquabox. There are a variety of options available from a leisurely 3km walk to the full marathon.
Sponsorship forms have been distributed to all members. Please advise if you are participating so that we have numbers to enable a restaurant to be booked for lunch after the event.
